Educational digital platforms
These platforms are among the most indispensable in the modern world, where the ability and opportunity to continuously learn, gain new knowledge, and experience are paramount to success. Nearly 3 million people use educational platforms in Russia annually, and the market is steadily growing in line with demand, exceeding, according to various estimates, 55 billion rubles. The business and children's education segments are growing steadily. New players are entering the public arena, and the willingness and even desire of Russians to work and study remotely is only increasing demand for their services.
The most active platforms operating in Russia include Yandex Textbook, Skillbox, Uchi.ru, Skyeng, Foxford, Dnevnik.ru, and others. The main challenges include content quality, digital inequality, data protection, and adapting programs to the Russian context. For example, many platforms, despite their "educational" nature, are often unable to provide students with any meaningful educational documents. Furthermore, problems arise with state-issued diplomas. Consequently, people who purchase courses, often at considerable expense, end up with nothing, as the educational platforms bear no responsibility for the consequences of their training, and it is virtually impossible for someone who receives a "worthless diploma" to prove to their employer the authenticity and adequacy of the knowledge they acquire.
